"I'm so fortunate I get to express my love for music with drums"

From London's Royal Albert Hall - to Television Soundstages - to the world famous Cafe Wha(NYC) - Eric logs many miles.

His intuitive sense of rhythm and liquid execution have provided the heartbeat for a wide variety of artists.

Eric began playing the bongos at age seven while on a family vacation in Barbados.  A week later he returned to the states and began studying drumset with his godfather Stan Andries, and later with famed drummer Walter Perkins Jr. in Jamaica,  N.Y.

He continued his studies at the Brooklyn Conservatory of Music.  Later Eric moved on to New York's Drummer's Collective.  There he gained insight from notables such as Horace Arnold, Kim Plainfield, Robbie Gonzalez, Kenwood Dennard, Rick Considine,   and percussion legend, Frank Malabe.

Before embarking on his pro drumming career, Eric served as a drum dept manager for Sam Ash Music. There his passion for product came to the forefront. He developed a reputation for innovative displays and in-depth product knowledge, that inspired drummers and colleagues.

In addition to his in-store duties, Eric conducted seminars on electronic & midi drumming at Paul Ash’s performance theatre in NYC.  At the end of each seminar he’d impress his audience with his drum machine programming of Steve Gadd’s legendary “Aja” drum solo

Programmed using Yamaha's flagship drum machine(at that time!) - The RX-5.  Touch sensitive pads had not been introduced yet which made this even more challenging

" It was always my goal to demonstrate that drummers make the best programmers! "

Since the age of twelve, Eric has been playing in various musical projects.  Eric's passion and commitment continue to earn the delight of his peers, artists, manufacturers, and most of all - his audiences.
